We All Like Second Servings?

People, people, people! What’s going on, local cat Archie coming at you again. It’s about that time again, to make my way into the chopper and see who my spotlight picks up. Flying over the destined area, who do I see this time?

Mrs. Anne Hathaway.

She’s an old spark for me that I didn’t really consider, until I was thinking back on this movie I used to watch as a religion. The movie was “Get Smart”, surprisingly this movie never reached that old and outdated point to me, and it dawned on me when I was reading some article online… “wait a minute, she looks familiar…. that was Anne Hathaway?!” (at the time when I was watching the movie, I didn’t know anyone in it outside of funny man Steve Carell). Hey, I liked her back then, why not pick up more info on who that sexy agent was? Found some interesting things.

So, starting from her early life, she’s been in a good amount of plays, ranging from her elementary school days, to high school days, eventually even getting a nomination for the Rising Star Award for best performance by a high school actress. She had studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She was always the very first teenager to be admitted into “The Barrow Group” theater company acting program, so she has her well over enough experience in the acting scene.

Her TV debut started with her character in the short running comedy show “Get Real”, but really bumped up her famous, and well known position for her role as Mia in “The Princess Diaries”, and its sequel. Then I go on to see that she’s been in various movies throughout the years such as “The Devil Wears Prada”, “Becoming Jane”, “Passengers”, and “Alice in Wonderland”. These are movies I’ve even half seen, heard about and such… I must’ve really just not noticed her in anything until that Get Smart movie. She even played as Catwoman in “The Dark Knight Rises”…. wait hold up she played as Catwoman? This woman’s a Goddess. >=(

Now why she’s my pick of the week isn’t just because I think she’s like… drop dead sexy. I’ve heard about her throughout my years, but never really looked into any of the things I heard or who she really was, but from what I did read up on, she was caught up in some drama with her then relationship partner, involving filing with the charity they ran, and a struggle with some heavy smoking during a bit of her career. Her career was at risk by being with him in that risky business, so she ended it before it tarnished he, and she hasn’t just stuck with smoking, her efforts to quit smoking have been triumphant in the past years.

Never was her name diminished because of the problems she faced, or had going on. I commend her for not letting any trial get to her, she still stands to be a great and lively actress, and woman, to me.
