So I went to see Spiderman 2 with my man-friend, and I can understand why so many took issue with it: there was just too much “reality” in the fantasy. I’m not a fan a spoilers–no matter how long it’s been since a movie came out–so I’ll stop here because this isn’t about to be a movie review; that’s just not my thing. What am I writing this for? Well, I want to take a moment to yell at all the entertainers out there who insist on injecting realism into what I should be allowed to enjoy as a fantasy. When I want reality, I have my own life to look at. Don’t force reality down my throat when I got myself all prepped for an evening in the land of make-believe.
Sure, you can tug at my heart strings, but don’t do it with realistic break-up scenes or killing off my favorite character. I mean if I hear about some character in a popular anime dying shortly followed by “Oh… You aren’t reading the manga…” one more time I might just have to choke someone. Seriously! Beloved creative artists… writers and producers alike: quit making these stories mimic real life. Once you’ve made trees talk, people who can walk on water, and animal hybrids whose genes really shouldn’t be spliced, you’ve already demolished the fabric of reality… just take it all the way and make it so that only the bad guys can die.
That’s all I have for you today. Don’t for get to take a few moments to Relax, Relate, and Release… I know I have to.

Hmmm this is interesting. I’ll ask you this Reign… how much fantasy was Spider-Man supposed to really give you? You have to remember that Stan Lee himself wrote some form of realism into his comics. And the killing off of your favorite character was written and done WELL before our time lol. Aside from that great article!
