What’s going on guys, today it’s actually your friendly neighborhood nerd on the Chopping Block this time. We know it’s summer and the one thing I love to do is grill. But when you’re stuffed from all the hotdogs, burgers and ribs you kinda have a hankering for some dessert. So that’s what I’m here to show you today.

Your grill can do way more than char up some hotdogs and smoke some brisket, it can also pull double duty and make this quick and simple dessert. I’m gonna give you guys a simple walk through on grilled peaches with honey. Peaches just scream summer and with them in season as of now they’re plenty abundant. So obviously you’re going to need your grill, some ripe fresh peaches, honey, nutmeg and canola oil or any oil that can stand up to high heats.

What you’re going to do first is lightly grease your grill grates with canola oil, either by brushing it on or using a small cloth. When the temp is just right and the coals are white you’re gonna prepare your peaches. For the peaches you’ll need to halve and remove the pit and once at the grill lay cut side down on the grates and let them go for 5 minutes, after the 5 minutes are up rotate a quarter turn to get those oh so awesome grill marks, then let go for another 5 minutes with the lid closed.

When time is up the peaches are going to be slightly softened and darkened, it them on a pan or serving tray of your choice and sprinkle with nutmeg and drizzle with honey. It will look a little something like this….

One great thing you can do is put a scoop of ice-cream on top and enjoy!
