The Verse: May The Power Protect You

Holy Alpha-5 folks, this video here has been lighting up the inter webs all day and I had to make sure that I posted it here on The Block! Today there was a 14 minute short film released of a dark and gritty reboot of Power Rangers. With the actually Power Rangers reboot film in progress and setting for filming soon, we need a little hit of that nostalgia. So this is not the Power Rangers we grew up with, this here is what I hope the film to be when it comes out. TheRangers face here their greatest foe, the evils within each other.

This gives us all of the action and story line drama of a big blockbuster and keeps us wanting more. In this short film the Rangers don’t save the day and the Machine Empire takes over. Honestly I have a bit f an issue with this where the Machine Empire was in the Zeo Generation and they are using the MMPR Gen 1, but disregard that. It shows you the fate of each Ranger and the other people in the show as all hell breaks loose.  This shows Rocky as he interrogates Kimberly and he has betrayed his team and joined the Machine Empire. But all is not what is seems.

There was a great cast and amazing acting within this reboot. Jason Van Der Beek and Katee Sackhoff play the lead rolls and they give it all. Adi Shankar is the genius we have to thank for this amazing rendition of the Power Rangers. He calls it a bootleg, but I feel that he is on the right path to get the Power Rangers Reboot looking like this.
