Yesterday we here on The Block received the news of the passing of one of the greats. Richard Nimoy died at the age of 83 on February 27,2015. We here all send out condolences and grievance to his family and loved ones. He left behind a legacy that surpassed his wildest dreams. He was best known for his role as Spock on the hit television and movie series Star Trek, but he was in so many more things that have touched the Nerd and Otaku community. He was a tremndous actor and voice actor and he was someone we could look up to as a beacon of what it means to be a Nerd.
He will surely be missed and the words of his famous character Spock will forever echo within the halls of geekdom, “Live long, and prosper my friends.”
