Today’s Casual Cosplay is a mixture of inspiration and a bit of late follow up to promises made.
Fashionerds and Fashionerdettes do you remember how in the first Casual Cosplay post I said I’d show you a real world example of how Vixen could be done? Yeah Dyedbelle, you totally dropped the ball.
I’m so sorry. So to make up for that here are two badly done mirrored selfies to show how you can switch up a comic shirt for two separate looks. What else could be more real world than selfies right?
Now wait a minute DyedBelle, I came for Casual Cosplay how can a comic shirt do that?
Let’s be honest sometimes a shirt is just the easiest way to pay homage to our particular character or geekdom of choice. Furthermore, I don’t know about you but just about all my shirts are comic or anime related. So for today’s Casual Cosplay look you’ll get to see what happens if you just wear a comic related tee. No need to try and channel it any other way. Just let the shirt do the speaking for you.
What shirt caused this sudden inspiration you ask. My Blade shirt of course. Didn’t I tell you I have a habit of wearing black all year around? It gave me so much inspiration and it made me think. Why not do a spotlight on the man himself. I mean he is a daywalker. So he wouldn’t be harmed by the sunrays of Spring. As promised, here are my terrible real world mirrored selfies of two totally different looks. It’s all about letting the shirt do the talking. Plus, it’s all about getting to start conversations about it the whole day you wear it. Or maybe that just happens to me?
Tip: Have fun with the shirt and bring out elements from the character that speak to you. Here I paired Blade with camoflauge because well lets be honest he’s a pretty tough fighter.
With this outfit I wanted to be a little sweeter; just play off of the red in the shirt honestly. So I vamped it up with the pumps and the flowered pants. Fashion is all about what you make it. I’m pretty sure Blade might not have been caught in the heels, but I won’t tell him if you won’t. 😉
See you later dolls.
