This week, I wanted to celebrate another milestone for the blog. On January 13th, this blog has officially been around for 11 years. It always astonishes me that there are people who still actively visit the blog. Even when I have not put out a post for quite a while. I have kept this a space where my readers could visit for evergreen content. I have not been the best at consistent posting. I am still working towards bringing this blog back to weekly postings.

I take this time now to reflect, not only on the year that has passed. But reflection on the years that built this blog into the place that it has become today. I appreciate the readership that I have garnered over the years writing here. 125 subscribers strong and hopefully the community will continue to grow for years to come.
The focus of the content has not changed much. I did not always do this by myself. The voices of the writers who once passed through this blog remain strong. I see that with the views of our collective work that has been put forth on this platform. I am grateful for all the clicks and shares that come from you all. If you are reading this now, I thank you.

The future of this blog and my work is certain. I have captured that spark once more. I have reignited that rhythm within my writer’s soul. Creating this space here has taught me one thing. Never walk away from what you love. Writing here has provided me a voice within this vast space of the internet. My reach is not the biggest. But, I am happy to have connected to the people who discovered my writing through this blog. Whether shared via Facebook, Twitter, or wherever you first saw an article or link that led you here. This blog has welcomed many into our block.

I take solace knowing that I will get a chance to write another editorial again this time next year. Bobbo’s Block started as podcast, where I wanted to talk with my friends about nerdy things that we loved. Now, I have been able to talk with people from all walks of life. I get to share my passion. I am feeling the same as when I hit publish on my first blog post. The butterflies never truly leave us when it comes to moments like this.
I will be back next week with a new post for you. I wanted to stop and share my feelings with you this week. I hope you will always come back to the block and kick it with me. whenever yo u get that notification of a new post, just know I am doing what I love.
