The Verse: S.H.I.E.L.D Gets A New Recruit

So there are new reports that have been surfacing of that Blair Underwood will be joining the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D coming back from the Winter break. This is pretty huge, the amount of star power Marvel has been throwing into the mix of AoS has been anything but short of awesome. Yeah, I know that we all felt a little cheated with the Lucy Lawless cameo that we thought would be way more than the premiere.

But this actually seems promising, they have cast him as the Ex-husband of the Calvary herself, Agent May. We all knew that she’s gone through some lovers in her time, and we know she’s a bit guarded when it comes to getting close to anybody. But this development will give us a deeper look into the rock and right hand of the new S.H.I.E.L.D.

Blair will be playing Dr. Andrew Garner. A lot is not known about this character, whether he is coming back into May’s life to help or harm. Where do his allegiance lie? Is it with S.H.I.E.L.D, Hydra or does he play it  neutral and go for the highest bidder? We’ve been seeing a lot more mercenaries this season with everything up in the air when it comes to the spy games.

With the mystery behind Skye, I’m sorry Daisy in full light and not knowing if she will be returning to the team, we may have more seats to fill in the S.H.I.E.L.D roster. Only time will tell as we wait all the way until March for the agents return.
