The Playlist: The Emcee Doesn’t Fall Too Far From The Beat

I was just put on to this sick track from out of all people who you would expect, Jaden Smith. Producer Ta-Ku and Smith got together and just made magic. Honestly I know his musical lineage but I never knew he could go this hard. He’s done things before and he’s had cameos on track, such as Childish Gambino’s last album. It’s like music and rhythm runs in their blood. Between him and his sister, they are taking music back and taking it by storm. It gives you hope for artist coming up now in this next class.

The track “Beast Mode” goes hard for 8 minutes, and the versatility that he has with switching from beat to beat is superb and gives me chills from when his father was spitting this way on the streets of Philly. Yes, Will Smith did actually rap, no matter how many cheesy songs want us to believe otherwise. But take a listen to the track and tell me what you think in the comments below.
